Michael Polymenis on translational science

The Polymenis lab has some exciting results about how cell growth is coupled to lifespan in a model organism. This connection could be used in screening for drugs that affect aging in other organisms, including humans. This video from last Fall talks about what his team learned about going from basic science to a drug discovery biotech startup in collaboration with colleagues at the Buck Institute, where Michael spent a sabbatical.
