Come out and enjoy our annual BBQ and softball game on Friday, August 23, 2013 at the Bachmann Park (formerly known as Southwood Athletic Park). This is an annual event and everyone is invited to meet our new graduate students and welcome them to our department. You may watch or participate in the softball game which will start at 5:30 and then stay for BBQ to be served immediately following the game.
The bat was presented to the graduate students last year to be hung in Pat Swigert’s office with a win from our graduate students.
Spectators are welcomed but players are desperately needed.
Don’t worry if you do not know how to play, we’ll teach you everything you need to know!
Last year the graduate students won, come out and see who wins possession of the bat to display in their office this year. If faculty win, the bat is hung over Dr. Reinhart’s door in room 103D; if the graduate students win, the bat is hung in Pat’s office.
The faculty blame their loss on their best player being injured in 2012. That’s our story and we are sticking to it!
