Welcome to the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics undergraduate program at Texas A&M University! In pursuing an undergraduate degree or a minor in our department, you’ll receive excellent instruction that includes practical experience. Our department offers two undergraduate degrees – the B.S. in Biochemistry and the B.S. in Genetics. We’ll provide you with the tools you need to succeed through research, service, study abroad programs, student organizations, and internships. You’ll learn with diverse classmates and faculty from around the state, nation, and world.
To make the most of your time here, don’t forget to think beyond coursework. As an undergraduate in our program, you have the opportunity to:
- contribute to a National Science Foundation research project
- take an internship with a major company
- go on a dynamic study-abroad program
- guide the work of a student organization
