As a student in the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics, you’re on track for a superb education at one of the best colleges and universities in the nation.
Undergraduates who are currently enrolled as a Biochemistry and/or Genetics major must:
- maintain an overall 2.25 GPA and 2.00 in all major coursework
- make a C or better in CHEM 227/237, 228/238 and all major coursework
Students who have below an overall GPA of 2.25 or have had a GPA below 2.00 for two consecutive semesters will be placed on Departmental Academic Probation. If you feel that you may be placed on academic probation, contact an advisor to find out what steps you need to take to stay in this program.
