Dr. Angela Domitrovich received her Ph.D. in 2002 in the lab of Dr. Gary Kunkel. Her postdoctoral research was at the University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus in the Department of Microbiology which was supported by an NIH fellowship and the Thorkildsen Research fellowship. During her time as a postdoctoral fellow her research focused on the role of Hepatitis C virus (HCV) in lipid metabolism (cholesterol and fatty acids). Dr. Domitrovich is now a senior Patent Agent at Sheridan Ross PC, in Denver Colorado, the Rocky Mountain region’s largest intellectual property law firm. As a patent agent, her practice includes all aspects of domestic and foreign patent prosecution including patent preparation and prosecution and due diligence of patent portfolios in the areas of biochemistry, virology, molecular biology, microbiology, nutraceuticals, therapeutic methods, and genetic engineering. Dr. Domitrovich works with various companies including Ampio Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Bolder Biotechnology, Gilead, Celgene, GlobeImmune, Inc., the University of Colorado as well as National Jewish Health. In addition, Dr. Domitrovich also mentors younger patent attorneys and patent agents which she enjoys very much.
