Hurricane Harvey had us all thinking our friendly little game would not be taking place on Friday, August 25, 2017, but that was not the case. Thankfully, the rains didn’t begin until later that night. As usual the softball game was a lot of fun. It seems like every year, the graduate students start off in the lead but once the faculty get their old bodies a moving, they make a come back and and end up with the winning game, which was the case for this game. The final score was 11 to 8. Our new professor, Dr. Dmitry Kurouski found the game a lot of fun and cannot wait to join us again next year.
It was a great match, the BGA almost had us this year, but the Faculty prevailed!
Jase Cotton received the “You don’t belong here?” award. Huh, what do you mean?
Jase Cotton, stood his ground playing with the big kids. He was a great help to the faculty as their catcher. Way to go Jase.
We are also enlisting Alfredo Erazo-Oliveras youthful body for next year as well! How do you expect us to win without some limber athletic bodies on our team?
